Back in the days before kayuhbmx.com was created Malaysian riders always hit this Singaporean website called 20incho. At that time most of bike shops in Malaysia refused to carry BMX parts and 20incho is one of the alternative way for Malaysian riders.
I just found out that 20incho has revamped their website which also featuring Malaysia’s top flatlanders, MatDagu and Hezlan in their team section. Have a look on it.

I was texting with Farid (Identify) last night and he mentioned me that there’ll be a flatland show air on Astro channel 814. It was the recent BMX Masters event happened in Cologne, Germany. The one that Mat Dagu went last year. I’m psyched with the show. It shows unedit runs of the riders which is really really really hard to see on TV. It’s a good thing to see flatland get coverage like that.
Now it is 5 in the morning. I couldn’t sleep so I hit the net. And as usual I hit global-flat.com. There you go, a very good article to read before I get on bed. A pro flatlander Michael Sommer posts an open letter of his thoughts about the contest scene, the fucking internet and some other things. He(Sommer) also touches about the BMX Masters since he’s one of the judges. I hate sitting and reading facing the pc screen on a long period of time so I copy-paste and print the article. Oh well there are comments to Sommer’s letter by some pros as well, they must be really good too. Copy-paste again and print.
A lot of points and ideas pointed by Mr Sommer. As well as Effraim Catlow, Scott O’Brien, Chad Johnston and Bobby Carter in their comments. I have to agree on what Bobby says. He gets all the points there, about the flatland scene generally.
I suggest you to read the Sommer’s letter and the comments. Why? Simply because the same thing(or maybe a bit different) is happening in our tiny tiny local scene.

You gotta love this, Malaysia’s first online BMX Webshop is now up and running. It is proudly owned and operated by the riders itself. Devise will join the force soon so you can easily order Devise from there. Props to the man behind the site, Zaid for making this happen. I believe more stuff will be available from Momentumlove.com in future. Show some love….
